Ines von Ketelhodt
1981–1988 studies at Hochschule für Gestaltung, Offenbach. Diploma in book arts and graphic design. 1986 founding of book artists collective Unica T with Ulrike Stoltz, Uta Schneider, Doris Preußner and Irmtraud Klug-Berninger. 1987 participation in the second Druck & Buch exhibition in Nürnberg. Meets Peter Malutzki. 1988 sets up a studio with Anja Harms (since 1987 member of Unica T) in Offenbach and later on in Oberursel. Since 1989 several awards and a prize for young book designers from the Stiftung Buchkunst Frankfurt. 1992 Walter-Tiemann-Prize from the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. 1996 exhibition Unica T: 10 Years of Artists’ Books in the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt. Guest lecturer at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. 1997 starts work on the Zweite Enzyklopädie von Tlön. 2001 Unica T collective seperates. 2002 exhibition 13+ Contemporary Artists’ Books at the Takeo Gallery Tokyo. Move and joint work shop with Peter Malutzki. Lives and works as book artist, photographer and graphic designer (k und m design) in Flörsheim/Main. 2003 exhibition 13+ University of the Arts, Philadelphia/PA. 2006 exhibition Photography and the Artist Book in the Gallery Light Factory in Charlotte/NC. 2009 exhibition Zehn Jahre Editionale, Kunstbibliothek im Museum Ludwig, Köln.
Peter Malutzki
1973–1977 graphic-design studies at Fachhochschule Mainz (majors in book design) with Wilhelm Neufeld and Hans Peter Willberg. 1979 acquisition of an old printing shop in Lahnstein. 1980 founding of the FlugBlatt-Presse together with Heidi Hübner-Prochotta and Manfred Prochotta. Since 1981 the press presents its work at the Minipressenmesse in Mainz and the Frankfurt Bookfair. 1984 participation in the first Druck & Buch exhibition in Nürnberg. 1985 exhibition in the gallery Zwischen raum in München, together with Wilhelm Neufeld. 1987 runs the FlugBlatt-Presse on his own. Participation in the second Druck & Buch exhibition in Nürnberg. Meets Ines von Ketelhodt and the group Unica T. 1989 V.O. Stomps-Prize from the city of Mainz. 1990 exhibition Zehn Jahre FlugBlatt-Presse in the Gutenberg-Museum Mainz. 1991 work on the Rheinbuch. 1992 Walter-Tiemann-Prize from the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. 1993 Rheinbuch exhibition at the Mittelrhein-Museum Koblenz. 1994 mail art project with Barbara Fahrner. 1995 exhibition schriftzeichen at the Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt. 1997 starts work on the Zweite Enzyklopädie von Tlön. 2000 exhibition Zwanzig Jahre FlugBlatt-Presse at the Klingspor Museum Offenbach. Drops the name FlugBlatt-Presse. The book artists group 13+ meets in Berlin for the first time during a colloquium of the Association internationale de Bibliophile. 2002 exhibition with 13+ at the Takeo Gallery Tokyo. 2003 moves to Flörsheim/Main. Joint work shop with Ines von Ketelhodt. Exhibition 13+ University of the Arts, Philadelphia/PA. 2009 exhibition Zehn Jahre Editionale, Kunstbibliothek im Museum Ludwig, Köln.
